Dr Maddy grew up in regional Victoria with some pet sheep and chickens, which started her love for animals. After travelling to Tioman Island Turtle Reserve through school, she became interested in wildlife. After school, Dr Maddy made the move to NSW to Charles Sturt University for her Veterinary degree, where she met and became friends with Dr Daisy.
Through University she became more interested in wildlife and exotic pets, travelling to South Africa to learn more about conservation and veterinary care of (extremely) large wildlife. Upon returning home, Dr Maddy finished her degree and began working in Ballarat, Victoria in small animal practice. Here she worked with a variety of dogs and cats, wildlife, and some exotic pets.
Dr Maddy again moved states in February to join the team at Sugarloaf. In her spare time, she can be found obsessing over her Kelpie, Lexi, catching up with friends, and enjoying living near the coast.
