How long have you worked at SAH?

10 years with a one-year gap

What is the MOST enjoyable thing about your job?

All aspects. I love watching the team grow and advance their careers to reach their full potential. I love being a part of SAH, always wanting to advance our skills and knowledge, not only for ourselves, but also for our clients and patients.

I find it very rewarding doing the puppy preschool and watching those puppies grow up into their senior years. I hold that close to my heart and it makes it even more special.

Do you have any pets?

16-year-old blind husky Indi (my first born);

6-year-old Great Dane mix Harper. A stray puppy, dumped in the bush near work. Never left my care.

3-year adopted ginger cat Boofie. Lives up to his name, but Boof head!

3-year-old beautiful torti Biddy. Super sweet and you can do anything to her. She is best friends with Harper!

Where is your favourite local place to go for a break?

Favourite place for breakfast would be along Warner’s bay. Nothing beats an açai bowl by the water.

Where would you go for a good meal out locally?

I’m a bit of a hermit crab, but my go-to place is Muchos in at the junction. Best Mexican around!

If you could have any animal at all as a pet, what would you choose and why?

A tiger! They are so prideful, independent and strong. Super sad they get poached and we are distorting their natural habitat so that subspecies are becoming extinct.

What do you like about your job?

I love when Carl — a beautiful cockatoo — comes for boarding, especially on Fridays. We love dancing to RnB Friday playlists.

Two truths and a lie!

Hover over the statement to find out if it’s true. Green is true and red is a lie. Did you get it right?
